Answer
1) History of the VLE
The Virtual Learning Environment is the online health information and technology education portal which is for the academic professionals, student, and clinical educators along with the adult learners. It’s however called a learning management system in North America (Abu Raddaha, 2018).
2) What does the VLE provide?
The VLE is used in teaching the entire online courses. However, it facilitates the students and teachers to share resources and interact with one another. In that case, it helps to expand skill sets within the self-paced format. Lastly, it has functionality on mobile devices which can consolidate their language learning.
3) What is a TIGER VLE Ambassador?
A TIGER VLE Ambassador is an individual who is equipped with VLE materials to share with colleagues, friends along with faculty about TIGER and spreading the word (Shaw, Sensmeier & Anderson, 2017).
4) Reflect on this portion of the initiative and what you found interesting and of value to nursing informatics.
What I found interesting in this initiative is that the TIGER VLE Ambassador is provided with 20 per cent off VLE renewal and 20 per cent to his/her friends and colleagues. Accordingly, what seems to be of value to the nursing informatics is the utilization of the emerging technologies in making the healthcare safer. The reason being is that it helps to provide the nurses with sensitive information that can help them to quickly detect and eradicate a particular disorder (Shaw, Sensmeier & Anderson, 2017).
